lyrics
It's been fifty seven days since I broke myself anew.
Now I'm three into the cave. Does it do it for you,
in the middle of the night, coughing all over the sheets?
Is this the picture of health it took so long to achieve?
Hello, I've been here before, you might remember this smile.
Can you see it yet?
I don't have much time so drink it in while you can
if it's not too late. I hope it's not too...
Cos maybe I'm a Lycanthrope that can't be tamed.
I tasted flesh, had the thirst, it was never quite the same.
It's not the end of the world, but it's so strange
cos baby, I'm a lycanthrope, so watch me change.
Take a breather while it mends. Take a break from sipping foam.
Take the piss and take it out on all the people who know.
Falling out like broken teeth, trusting insides turn to stone.
I'm a liar, I'm a thief and I just called to say 'Hello'...
Cos maybe I'm a Lycanthrope that can't be tamed.
I tasted flesh, had the thirst, it was never quite the same.
It's not the end of the world, but it's so strange
Cos baby, I'm a lycanthrope.
It's not a well kept secret, can't cover my tracks.
I'm not in it for the thrill like other cenobite hacks.
Please don't let this break the deal, cos I need you here
now I'm a lycanthrope.
saw this live when they were performing with Jeff Rosenstock. The Goosebumps from seeing the pure emotion in the finale was so raw and passionate. it made me appreciate being able to attend live music again! vvilko
The London band's new album is a vibrant postcard from southern Italy, boosted by brass, strings, and pizzica percussion from local players. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 14, 2024
The “grunge soul” artist draws from influences like Nina Simone, Lianne La Havas, and Kurt Cobian on her new project. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 30, 2023
As a Brooklyn-based admirer of your work, who never got to see you live, this album's existence is truly amazing. A fitting, booming document of your send-off. One of the very best bands to emerge in the 2010's. You should be VERY proud of the Doe legacy. Gone too soon but with two stellar full-lengths and a solid compilation, you made sure you left your mark. Bonus points are earned here for making me realize the hidden beauty in "2 Become 1." You completely reinvented it in the best way! Allan Raible
